WowWee Elvis
I Think he is Great! I did put my Elvis Sun Glasses on him to make him look a little more like Elvis. I am going to put him in my 68' Mustang this summer at the car shows. I'm looking forward to a great summer, it will be a lot of fun watching people do a double take at Elvis in my COMEBACK SPECIAL.

A lot of fun
My sisters and I gave this to my dad, an Elvis fan, and he really loved it. It sort of creeped out the younger kids, but we really had a blast with it. The sound quality is great and it has a lot of really neat functions. My only dissapointment was that there are not a lot of songs on the provided disk. You can buy additional ones, however. This is one of those items that will provide years of fun and is certainly a conversational piece. By the way, when it arrived we were shocked how large it was.

I ordered this robot on Aug.4 and it is now the 27th and still have not received it.
This seller please don't buy anything from her. She says she hasn't received my money and it was taking off my credit card. I have waited almost a month for the Elvis Robot. I am worried that she will hurt the Elvis Robot because she swears she hasn't got the money. Amazon says she did. If you want to loose some money from her order from her. The worst seller, I've ever had! I will take further action for her taking my money.

Elvis is alive
Elvis is alive in this robot. The Elvis fan I gave it to was totally elated with the realism of his movements. I am really impressed with the quality of this product.

Found it for , so I bought it.
One day when searching for WowWee Alive Lion Cub Plush Robotic Toy in Tan, I came across this Elvis robot. The price was reduced to [...], so I impulsively bought it.

For [...] it's an interesting thing to have. We like Elvis in our house, but we aren't wild Elvis fans (although I did drag my husband to Graceland while we were driving through Memphis). Sometimes we listen to him, but, again, we aren't collectors and we only own one greatest hits album.

Anyways, if you're an Elvis fan, you might really want this. If you're interested in robotics, you might really want this, too. Otherwise, I can't see the point in owning this thing-- unless you get it for thirty dollars, as I did. And, even for thirty, I really don't know what to do with this. After the initial novelty wears off (quickly), there's not much to do except put it in your Elvis shrine, which we don't have.

Elvis' remote control is shaped like a microphone and works very well. He has several different modes-- singing, talking, moving, not moving, and karaoke mode. He sings eight different songs and runs through two or three monologues-- clips of interviews he's done. He also has an interactive mode where he can follow your movements with his eyes and make some quips in response to your presence. He sounds an awful lot like the real Elvis, but doesn't exactly look like the real Elvis. Adding a pair of Retro Silver / Gold Elvis Presley Party Sunglasses adds to his look and, since I had a similar pair of sunglasses, that's what I did.

He comes with one cartridge, and that cartridge is needed to have him work. Make sure yours also comes with the cartridge. Mine was included in the shipping box, but not in the Elvis box itself. So, I'm not sure it's included with every purchase. It says cartridge 1 on it, and I haven't seen anymore cartridges for sale. I'm not sure there are any more for sale or that there have ever been any others for sale.

Elvis' movements are pretty fluid, although you can hear the mechanisms moving while he moves. He has the lip sneer going, he moves his neck side to side and slightly up and down. He moves his eyes, and he is fairly expressive. His hair is not easy to style (though, admittedly, I didn't really try except for brushing it), and my robot arrived with a plastic band to hold the hair in place in the box. When I removed this plastic band, his hair had a seemingly-permanent bend in it. I suppose I could use some Brylcreem Hair Cream, Blue - 2.5 Oz on him, but I doubt that's recommended. ;)

Anyways, I'm satisfied with this purchase because I know I got a deal-- although it isn't something I had thought I wanted. My 12 year old son is interested in robotics, however, so I think he'll really like him and if he eventually wants to take him apart, I'd be okay with that, too.

He takes batteries, but also comes with a convenient ac adapter and responds well to his remote.

Product Description:
This adorable robotic panda is a fun-loving friend who likes to tell stories, play games and sing songs. Robopanda's engaging personality and bright animated eyes will immediately endear him to children of all ages. There's no need for a remote control -- you can interact with Robopanda directly through his integrated audio and touch sensors. Using capacitive touch sensor technology, he knows when he is being patted, touched, or stroked and responds accordingly; his audio sensor allows him to hear sounds for game play and other interactions.

At the touch of a switch, you can set him into one of three play modes: in Training Mode he will teach you how to play with him; in Friend Mode he will engage you in conversation and amuse you with jokes; in Menu Mode, you can use his sensors to navigate through his menus, review and select from among his many stories, interactive games and songs. When Robopanda tells stories, he invites you to make decisions that will determine the outcome of the story.

Equipped with an internal dual-axis accelerometer and tilt sensors, Robopanda knows when you pick him up or carry him somewhere, and he's going to let you know how he feels about it! And, he can even switch from sitting to crawling position, crawl on all fours and switch back to sitting again. Program him to perform a sequence of actions by simply moving his limbs around. Robopanda comes with an adorable plush panda accessory (who Robopanda will recognize and interact with when he's close by) and 2 cartridges containing interactive content. Requires 4 "AA" and 6 "C" batteries, not included. Measures 19"H.
Amazon.com Product Description:

The Robopanda can crawl on all fours, give hugs, and more.
Engage your child's imagination with the Robopanda, a playful, talkative, interactive robotic panda friend. With his engaging personality and bright animated eyes, the Robopanda loves to share stories and jokes, play games, sing songs, and chat with children of all ages. The fun-filled robotic bear can even crawl on all fours, return to a sitting position, and give hugs, making him far more versatile than a traditional teddy bear (and much easier to maintain than a dog). Designed to work without a remote control, the Robopanda is controlled directly by touch and sound, with eight touch sensors and a stereo sonic sensor located throughout his body. Touch his head and he'll respond with a nod. Pick him up and he'll giggle and ask for a ride. In short, the Robopanda's advanced artificial intelligence and awareness gives your child hours of delight and entertainment. He even knows how to track objects with his eyes and avoid obstacles.

Equipped with eight touch sensors and a stereo sonic sensor, the Robopanda works without a remote control.
The panda offers three different play modes. In Training mode, the panda guides your child through his many features, while Friend mode turns on the panda's conversational charm (including jokes). In Menu mode, meanwhile, the Robopanda tells your child stories, plays games, and even sings a song or two. The panda will even learn tricks from you in Menu mode and then perform them later. And don't worry about your Robopanda growing lonely while you're away, as he comes with his own plush toy panda that he recognizes and talks to.

The Robopanda comes with a pair of activity and story cartridges, each of which includes different stories and personality traits. Other details include a volume control, a set of safety sensors, and a mode switch on the back. The Robopanda, which runs on six C-size and four AA batteries (not included), measures 10.2 by 19 by 6 inches (W x H x D), weighs 10.34 pounds, and carries a 90-day warranty.

Quick Review on Robopanda
I've had Robopanda for a few years now. I must say his look is fantastic. I love how he moves his eyebrows, head, ears, arms and legs (when crawling) and also enjoy how well the movements go together with eachother. As a robot, I think he's pretty cool. I've found his sensors to work really well, though he does have that 'flying' problem others have reported.

However, he doesn't 'hear' me at all. He, also talks a lot. When I don't respond to his 'touch my paw', he is known to make a sarcastic remark or two. I'm far older than the age this toy was developed for, so it doesn't matter much to me, but parents should know!

I wish they'd designed him to accept new 'adventure' tapes or with a 'watch panda', like the robospider they also created. I'd be happy to hear him greet me every time I walked into my room.

Overall, this robot is very neat when it comes to movement, but don't expect him to interact very well with you via voice.

Description is misleading
I thought this panda would do a lot more than it actually does. It can crawl, but not very well. It doesn't walk. It has no voice recognition. I paid 3 for it before Christmas, and log on today to see it for less than half that price. I feel like I really got ripped off. Very disappointed.

A great toy for a couple of days
I like this toy, I mean it looks cool and it does STUFF, and my kids feel the same way - but! After a few days, the kids lost interest in it. It is a one trick pony. These days it sits on a shelf in the kids room, and never gets played with, so pretty much it is an item of decoration. The sad thing is that it comes with it's own little stuffed panda to interact with - the kids still play with that part.

We got ours new for on clearance - I think spent on a stuffed toy would have been money better spent. Gimmicks wear off on kids really fast!

botics kid
we all love to watch just to see what will happen next we are thinking about getting more

Amazing Product!
My family was very impressed by the tricks and responses of the Panda.

I have told everyone there is an elf inside working the robot. (My daughter got it for Christmas) Worth every penny!

Novelty factor:

The Good: Aids early motor development, teaches the ABCs and counting.

The Challenging: Continuous stream of images and sounds does not always correspond to child's movements.

In a Nutshell: Stationary bike helps kids learn while they exercise.

This interactive stationary bike will teach toddlers their ABCs and numbers as they peddle. View larger.
Keep Pedaling for Moving Images and Sound
Recipient of the iParenting 2009 Outstanding Product Award, this innovative bike helps toddlers develop motor coordination and alpha-numeric learning.

Bike assembly is easy for adults and takes no more than a few minutes, with parts that click neatly into place. Parents should take note that once the bike is assembled, it cannot be disassembled. The bike's overall design emphasizes safety and stability, with easy-to-use pedals that are well-suited to toddlers. A wide stable base restricts side-to-side movement and ensures that the bike won't tip over.

The hard plastic seat is adjustable to two different height positions, catering to a toddler's rapid physical growth. Though the seat is designed to bounce, it shouldn't give more than half an inch or so. Most children will be drawn to the variety of knobs and buttons around the LCD display, as well as the moving images, which change in response to additional pedaling.

As an added bonus, the bike will automatically power down after several minutes of disuse, saving battery life and keeping the house quiet.

The More You Pedal, The More You Learn
Five different activities await your child. In ABC mode, letters of the alphabet will appear in succession on the LCD screen. Each time the pedaling stops, the letter freezes, and an object beginning with that letter appears on the screen. In moments of inactivity, the Alphabet Song begins and letters move across the screen.

In Animal mode, children will be asked to identify a specific animal. The idea is to keep pedaling until that animal appears. In Counting mode, children will see more numbers the more they pedal.

Curious children will love pushing buttons and turning knobs alongside the LCD display. Changing activities is easy, though the continuous stream of images and sounds makes it difficult to associate each button with its respective function. Parents may want to assist in selecting from the five different activities. Either way, an active child will have little trouble finding new things to learn about.

What's in the Box
Ride and Learn Giraffe bike, user's manual with assembly instructions. (Short-life demo batteries included.)

The bike features a number of cheerful, educational matching activities.

Features:
  • Encourages learning through five modes of active play
  • Teaches letters, counting animals and objects
  • Features an LCD screen
  • Adjustable, bouncy seat with three positions to grow with child
  • Ages 18 Mos +

Great tricycle trainer
This is perfect for toddlers about 34" tall. My son is 34" and my daughter is 40". Little too small for my daughter eventhough she can still ride it. I bought this for my son anyways to teach him how to paddle. He just started to ride on tricycle but couldn't paddle. This toy actually taught him how to paddle and at same time he likes playing with the electronic gadget too. He sometimes turn this over and ride differently...works fine too. Now he can paddle tricycle! This is a great toy!

Not as great as it seems
My 3 year old son got this for Christmas this past year to help him learn to pedal a bike before spring. It helped a bit but his feet seemed to keep slipping off the pedals; it was odd, I couldn't figure out what was going wrong. Now that it's the end of May and he's pedaling his "big boy bike" around outside like crazy I figured it out: it's the lack of resistance on the pedals. Imagine going to work out on a stationary bike and getting zero resistance. It would be frustrating and no fun right? Well that's the problem with the Giraffe Bike too. But the upside is that he can still play the games on the cheapy screen. He also calls it his cow, throws on a hat, and plays cowboy with the bike =P

Another great vtech toy!
We got this for our son's second birthday. He already had the Kangaroo jumper and loved it and this is the same. He LOVES it! He got right on and with a little help had his feet on the pedals and was trying to ride. We are hoping this helps him learn to ride a bike and it will make it easier when he trys a tricycle or big wheel for the first time. It is very sturdy and looks great too!

She LOVED this toy!!
My mom and I bought this toy for a friends daughter and she loved it!! She still uses it and can't get enough. Its durable enough to withstand a toddler. Love it!

I can fix your volume problem
I read the reviews before buying this product and knew the volume was going to be an issue...I am very sound sensitive. I couldn't pass up the price so I bought it hoping I could do something to adjust the volume (and boy was it loud, you all were not kidding), and I was successful. The giraffe head EASILY comes off with the help of a screwdriver. I located the piece where the volume came out and put 2 round cotton pads on the "computer" side of the head and 2 on the front of the head, but I cut a hole in one of the cotton pads for the front to fit over the speaker snugly, the other I laid on top. I realigned the screws with the holes and presto, the sound was still a little loud for my liking, but tolerable. It took me less than 10 minutes to fix. Hope this helps you.
