I bought this as a gift for my nephew. Legos are one of the best toys on the market--playing with them promotes creativity and thinking skills.

Love Legos
Legos are always a winner in my house- may have to find a lot of small pieces lying around but worth it in creativity and imagination play with the grandkids.

Best toy, hours of fun
This is the best toy I bought so far, and my 3-1/2 boy loves it! He has already knocked out the models detailed in the instructions, and started to build up his own proto-type. We loves to play with him as well. The only downside is that there is no box come with it, so we have to make a box by ourselves (some of the components are pretty tiny). But overall, it's a great product for boys, and inexpensive as well.

Great toy for 6 yo that loves Lego
My son loves tractors and he loves LEGO, so this toy was a hit. The thing that I like about it is that the tractors are easy enough for my 6 yo to put together by himself. Definitely a good purchase.

Fantastic beginner Lego set
This set is wonderful. I love the fact that the pieces are very basic, it's a perfect starter set. My son (almost 5) has had this set for nearly a year and he still loves to pull it out and build the trucks, take them apart and build them again.

My 5 yr old grandson loved it.
This was a present for my grandson's 5th birthday. It is exactly what he had been wanting and had not received from Santa. He is having a lot of fun with it.

Great Lego Set
My son is a Lego fanatic and a Star Wars fanatic! This was a huge hit with him!

A bit disappointing
I was disapointed. Though the shuttle has gear opening doors,it has space for only two minifigures(pilot in front and Nute Gunray in back.). Gunray has a little chair that goes in and out of the shuttle. That and the gear doors are the only cool features in the entire set. Kind of a rip off if you ask me.

10 year old loved it!
My 10 year old loved this lego set. The directions are easy to follow, my son did NOT have to ask for help. He put the shuttle together, on his own, within an hour. It has a sliding rear door, which was a big hit. It comes with 4 men, which is nice, as some of the sets only have 2 men. This is a fun lego set and a great price for what you get.

Very pleased grandson and parents!
This was purchased for my grandson's 7th birthday. He is very bright and a true Lego fan! The whole family was very impressed with this new style from Lego - building inside and out!!! He finds the instructions/blueprints easy to follow and likes to stop at the various stages and invent alternative plans. I would recommend this product highly! For any child who is clever, patient, and creative, it is the way to go! Thanks, again, Lego!

Great Purchase
I purchased the Beach House for my 7 yr old son for Christmas. He loved it and has assembled and disassembled many times.

I love that this Beach House could be considered "girlie!" My 8 year old daughter loves legos, but it seems that they are geared more towards boys. She is not interested in Star Wars or Batman or Indiana Jones, but this cute little house is right up her alley! Great step-by-step instructions and we love that there are 3 different options for building!

CREAT GREAT
I bought this product for my 10 year old daughter for Xmas. She loved it! She has created two of the models and have played with them with her Lego figurines (if only they make more girls figurines). She was amazed by all the details and stimulated her creativity. I would love to see more products like this made for girls.

Lego toy shop - lots of cute details
This was a the top of my daughter's Christmas wish list. I couldn't find it in the stores, and it was even sold out at the Lego website. Luckily I was able to purchace it through Amazon. I paid more money than it would have been at the Lego website, but it arrived quickly, in plenty of time to wrap and put under the tree for Christmas morning. My daughter loved putting it together, and it makes a nice Christmas decoration!

Winter toy shop
This toy was bought for my 6 year old son. It is fabulous! Everyone that sees it loves it! The light turning on is a big hit too!

Great set even if it isn't Christmas time
We have four children (2-9 years) who love legos. This is a great set because of the people and animals. The store is being well played with as well. We don't do battery operated toys (too busy to keep replacing them) so not sure how the light block works. This set is very girl friendly.

My 10 year old daughter ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS!!!
Santa got this for my 10 year old daughter. She LOVED this and would not stop until she'd completey put it together! It was the very first Lego thing she had ever gotten as a gift and she enjoyed this immensely! After she opened her gifts this was the first thing that came out of the box. It is very cute! I will be keeping this one after they no longer play with Lego's. Love it!

I'm with Procrastinating Crafter - I wish I'd bought this when it was first launched in the Lego catalog, whether either of my kids wanted it or not. Better yet, I wish I could have bought about 100 sets and I'd be selling them on eBay now for at least 100% profit. I can't believe people's greed with regard to things like this.

WE love it
My 9 yr old son and I took on this 'project' this summer. The entire project took us about a week. We started with storting then assembly. Patience is the name of the game. My son loves lego's and all he really needed 'mom' for was to help sort and look for pieces.
We homeschool and a project like this is a great science/math project. We love lego... keep up the challenges...

Legomom
I really enjoyed putting this piece together, I would not recommend it for a new or inexperienced builder as it was a bit tricky. It did take me about a week to complete and once I finished it I was sad it was done. I can't wait for the dust to settle on it so I have an excuse to take it apart and rebuild it. I did use a spot of hot glue to the sails at the top to keep them attached. Otherwise it has held up just fine. I have had many adults and children oohh and awww over it.

Unique, challenging, and display-worthy!
This set is a great addition to even an expansive Lego collection. Movement, sound, unusual gold elements, and more! Yes, the set is challenging but with patience I believe even less-experienced builders will be successful.

TIPS FOR BUILDING:
1. Since the bags are not numbered, you need to spend a little time in the beginning sorting parts. It's not necessary to COMPLETELY sort them, but getting things separated by color alone would be helpful.
2. The carousel is built as a series of modules, where you construct the same item multiple times before assembling the section. If you have kids who can't build this set alone, they can still help by "copying" a module that you have correctly built. Many hands make quick work!
3. It is CRITICAL that the moving elements be assembled with the proper amount of ease between parts. The manual clearly reminds you not to "mash" certain pieces too tightly together. Violating this guidance will cause your moving pieces to work herky-jerky or seize up completely.
4. Test the movement as you go! Once you have the base complete and the motor attached, you should test the movement (both forward and backward) to ensure everything is moving smoothly. It's much simpler to make minor fitting adjustments at this point. Continue to test the motion after each layer is added to the base.

As far as the music goes, my son said "That's like leprechaun music!" when we turned it on for the first time. True, it is not something we could normally hear on a carousel here in the US, but it's still festive.

For price, I got this for around 0 which seems like a reasonable price. This item like many other unusual Lego sets, will eventually be in short supply and high demand, so it's worth getting it now. You never lose your investment in Lego, I have found!

Great to look at, interesting movement and sound, and a conversation-starter when you have guests over. They will be amazed at the detail!

Another great Lego game!!!
I bought it for myself. I had a lot of fun building it. I thing the age rating is very appropriate, it will be difficult for a younger person, it takes time to finish and finding the pieces take a lot of time. It's very nice once finished.

A lot of work, but worth it.
I bought this as a gift for my carousel loving wife. It is the first LEGO kit I have ever assembled. Don't even try this unless you're willing to spend the time & have the patience. It's really fun to see it work after all the hours spent. It will definatly be going into a display case, no way is it comming apart.

Can't Play with it!
My 6 and 8 year old boys each got one for Christmas. Like other reviews, they put one together after much work only to discover it is too fragile to play with. Keeps breaking apart. It is very cool and they had alot of fun building it. But for the price it would be nice if it stayed together. The second one they left it in the box and don't want to bother. Guess we will return it so they can buy something else.

awesome command center
My 8 year-old son loves this toy, but at first it was very frustrating because the top piece is a very poor design by lego. After I super glued the the top piece, it has been one of his favorite lego sets ever. I highly recommend this toy but make sure you use glue or it will keep falling apart.

FUN AT 3!
I'M SORTA SURPRISED BY THE POOR REVIEWS GIVEN BY SOME OF THE OTHER PURCHASERS. MY HUSBAND BUILT THIS FOR OUR SON WHO IS JUST 3.5 YEARS OLD, AND EVEN AS A PRESCHOOLER HE'S ABLE TO PLAY WITH IT EVERY SINGLE DAY SINCE CHRISTMAS. YES, IT'S NOT AS DURABLE AS SOME OTHER TOYS (LIKE MAYBE FROM FISHER PRICE OR LITTLE TIKES)... BUT, IT LEGOS! IT'S MADE OUT OF A BAJILLION TINY PIECES. I JUST EXPECTED THAT WE'D BE RE-BUILDING AND RE-DESIGNING IT AS WE WENT ALONG. AND, IT TEACHES OUR SON NOT TO GET FRUSTRATED OVER SUCH THING. IF SOMETHING COMES UNDONE... WE GO WITH THE FLOW AND FIX IT, OR COME UP WITH OUR OWN NEW AND IMPROVED DESING. THAT'S THE BEAUTY~!

AND THE NUMEROUS FEATURES; COOL FUNCTIONING PROJECTION SCREEN, STORAGE COMPARTMENT FOR NUMEROUS SMALLER VEHICLES, ESCAPE JAIL, COMPUTER SCREENS IN THE COCKPIT... ALL VERY AMAZING AND WELL-DESIGNED. A Mission for my stepson's christmas
My stepson received this LEGO Command Center for a Christmas present from Santa. He is 8 yrs. old and is a die hard for LEGO Missions. A week after Christmas he had this mission 80% assembled and resembling the picture. He was tremendously pleased with the craftsmanship and quality of this product.

A Crushing Disappointment!!!
My 9 1/2 year old son is a master at building his Lego sets. He truly loves it and obsesses over them until they are done. He has built this truck over and over in the past week, page by page, by the book, only to have it completely fall apart shortly before he is finished. He became so frustrated tonight he ended up sobbing for 20 straight minutes and then went to bed. He was so excited by this set (which lists for on the Lego site) and is terribly disappointed in it. By the reviews here and on Lego, at least it may be some consolation to tell him it isn't something he is doing wrong, but extremely poor design on the part of Lego. Shame on you Lego for putting this on the shelves, at that price, when it can't be successfully built or played with by it's target age group.

Price Gouged
This is a great toy. However, almost everywhere else (lego dot com, toysrus dot com), it sells for 9.99!!

Great Family Fun
I bought this for my husband but my son who is age 6 and a HUGE Lego fanatic was even more excited about it. The whole family was able to work on it together over the course of a few days. It provided great family fun time that everyone could enjoy. Now the argument is whether to put in on a shelf to keep it safe or get it down to play with it. My husband and I have discovered a whole new appreciation for Legos in general through the eyes of our children. Now we want to add to the collection with the fire station and green grocer.

Lego Make and Create Cafe
Lego has created at least four modular kits that fit together when completed to form a city block: the market street, the cafe corner, the firehouse and the green grocer. The grandkids are enjoying building the kits and seeing all the unique pieces Lego has devised for the kits. It's been challenging and fun for them.

Another well designed Lego product!
My only negative comment on this model is that I would have liked to seen two or so more mini-figures added.

I like the fact that Lego did not create an interior and allows the model builder to take that liberty! This gives one a chance to truely make this model their own!

I hope Lego adds more to this line of models.

a kids review
I got this set on sale for $[...]. I think for its size it is worth [...] but not [...]. It took me 6 hours to build and the construction is not easy. one small mistake and you will have to start over. ounce you are finished the AT-OT is awesome. it can hold 17 guys including the driver and is a good troop transport. it is not heavily armed but that is not a problem for me because I have a swarm of AT-RTS to protect it.heres where the problems start the LAAT only holds 1 guy. It is heavily armed with 3 guns and 16 missles . There are 2 slanted beams connecting the the main body (where the connect to the body) and the cockpit pod the beam is always breaking right where it connects to the cockpit pod and right where it connects to the main body. this problem is sooo bad you cant use the LAAT in battles.also the coupling mechanism is is very hard to lock onto the AT-OT.

Grandson loved this lego
My grandson wanted this for Christmas and Amazon was the only one who had itin stock at a reasonable price. It was a challenge to put together, which was very good, and the end result is great..

lego at-ot w/ gunship
This is so cool, i like how the gunship can pick up the at-ot.I put ANAKIN and captian REX in the back of the at-ot as extra renforcements. I've got a suggestion, put super glue where the gunship picks up the at-ot, always use super glue on legos because if you play with them alot and one of them happens to break, then you lose a brick.

AT-OT Walker
This is a Christmas gift for my 10 year old - he has many Star Wars Legos and I'm sure this one won't disappoint.

Lego can build houses, not all available here
We bought this for Christmas for our 11 year old son. It took us most of Christmas Day to complete, but it was a project that the whole family, including grandparents, could work on together. Their are a large number of parts and I would advise anyone to open the little packages as needed, not all of them at once. Some parts are so similar, it could create difficulties to complete the house according to plan. 10+ is a good age for this product, I do not see anyone 16 and over being captivated by the product once it is built, yet the 10+ child will get lots of enjoyment out of pretending to 'work' in the shop. Unfortunately there are no longer any other houses available at a reasonably price; the corner cafe's price has now been increased to over 0 (who'd buy that as a toy?)This is my reason for dropping the overall rating - The Grocer Store is suggested as part of a city street, but the other houses are no longer available, at least in the US. The other down-side was that for the first time there were parts missing - not what I have previously experienced from Lego.

EPIC lego set
Three floors. Amazing detail, right down to the mouse with his cheese. Fun to build and looks great when it's done. If you love legos. This is the set for you.

Very Detailed!
This was purchased as a gift for our 3 children; ages 10, 8 and 6. Each child was given one layer to build. With a little help from Dad, they were able to build it. They absolutely love it and had a great time building it. The detail is incredible and worth the money.

LEGO Grocer
This is a very nice and challenging toy to assemble. My son really enjoys the Lego's and this is by far his favorite one. He is only 11 but we had a lot of fun putting it together and watching it grow from the 1st floor to the 4th and final floor/roof. This is a great addition to any kids Lego set, highly recommended.

Great Lego Product for All Ages
After much deliberation I decided to purchase this set for myself as a gift. It's incredibly expensive, but most of the larger Lego sets are, and once it came in the mail, I knew why it was so much. Not only does it have a ridiculous amount of pieces, but it took me three days to build the set, building for a couple hours each day. It's got some amazing design elements, and once it's completed, it would be great for a show cabinet or similar display item. It's also great for building other items. There are enough pieces to go nuts with creative thinking, and plenty of figures and extra pieces for younger audiences to actually play with the sets they build. Overall, a great value for a set so large, and very fun for any age. Would highly recommend this product to those thinking about purchasing a Lego set.
