Great kitchen!
After lots of research I ordered this KidKraft kitchen for my granddaughter's play house. It did take awhile to put together and you definitely need 2 people, but it's adorable when finished! Granddaughter is 2 years old and loves it. It's tall enough that she'll be able to use it for several years and the colors are very pretty. She did pull the clock hands off right away, so you might need to show your child how they work if they are very young. The wood seems very sturdy. It doesn't come with pots or food, but we use empty boxes of pasta, small cereals, etc. and they suit her just fine. KidKraft makes a set of pots that match perfectly. We all love it!

Excellent product with bright colors
This product is just what we wanted. We didn't want to pay the price for Melissa and Doug products, but we wanted the same or very similar quality. This product met this requirement at half the price. It did take a while to assemble (about 2-3 hours), but the quality is high and the colors very vibrant and joyful. My daughters love it! I would recommend this product to anyone, especially if your needs are a high quality product without the huge expense of more trendy brands.

Best Kitchen ever
I purchased this for my granddaughter and was very pleased. It was a little difficult to put together but the outcome was worth everything. The kitchen is very well made and alot of thought went into the details. The kids play with this all the time, We bought the kitchen for Christmas and it is now March and the kids are still enjoying playing with the kitchen. They have not tired of playing kitchen and I think this says alot for this kitchen set. The pans fit in the stove and it has great storage area for all the foods, pots and pans. We love everything about this little kitchen set and feel that it is far superior to the other brands of kitchen.

Great kitchen!
Wonderful, bright and colorful kitchen. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Assembly took a few hours but none of it was difficult with 2 people. My 2 year old loves this kitchen. There is a lot of storage for all the play food and pots and pans. I am very happy with my purchase!!

Colorful and Entertaining
I bought this for my 20 month old and she absolutely loves it. She wakes up every morning and goes straight for it. It is press board material, yet still seems to be durable. The only minor details about it that I don't care for so far is that you can see (with a glare of light) where the glue is for the pictures. The good thing is that they are not stickers, so they can't peel off. The spicket is metal but the sink is plastic. The silver paint on the sink is coming off already but it is an easy fix to paint it again. Other than these few minor details the kitchen is a winner!

A super cute kitchen that falls apart constantly
We ordered this kitchen or our almost two year old for Christmas but it gets used by a 6, 3 and 2 year old. We chose this model because of how cute it was and that the company replaces broken items free of charge. In these last seven months we have had to order and replace one of the pink handles twice, the oven rack wall and a door. They have broken the sink so it no longer snaps in place, but they love to carry it around. One of the oven knobs has never clicked when turned, but the kids don't care.

It seems like our choice to go with a company that replaces the parts free of charge has been a good one, but I must say that the particle wood that these are mostly made out of are prone to wearing quickly where screws and do dads are connected. Once the screw comes loose you have to get the whole section of wood replaced because the hole is stripped. It took quite a while to put together and so we have left the door off and haven't yet fixed the broken panel inside the oven until we have the time to take it completely apart and rebuild. It is getting annoying, but the kids still love it.

Very cute
It looked just like I expected after reading reviews and looking at the 360 pics on-line. Took my husband only a little over 1 hour to build, but he uses tools everyday for work so we didn't expect it to take as long as some had reported in reviews. My 3 year old daughter likes it a lot and makes food for us quite often. It is a good size for her and seems to be made quite durable. Plan for her to use this for at least a few years. My 6-year old son likes to pretend cook and he has used it occasionally too.

Good value
I bought this for 0 with free shipping. there is nothing out there that compares to it at that price. here is my take on some of the popular comments from other reviews:

Assembly time: Directions are clear, pieces are coded to correspond with the directions. all you need is a screwdriver, allen wrench & another wrench come with it. Someone with an average ability to assemble things similar to this should plan on 2 hours +/- and just follow the instructions but I would not be intimidated by the assembly time comments. I would think that any of these toy wood kitchens require a good bit of assembly and the instructions are well done. If you consider yourself assembly required impaired, you may want to get some help.

the sink is plastic but mine has clips that require you to reach underneath it from both sides to get it out. i.e. if your sink comes out easily, the clips must be broken.

cream vs. white. I would say somewhere inbetween. personally, the shade of white was not something I gave too much thought too.

Real wood. I don't think it's particle board, it seems like some sort of high grade plywood. Did you expect solid oak? it seems to be of good quality in my opinion considering the price.

If you are looking for gender neutral you can paint the pink trim handles with black spray paint as I did.

Perfect little kitchen
I purchased this kitchen for my granddaughters, ages 3 and 1 for Christmas. I did not put it together but my daughter-in-law did. She said it was pretty time consuming but when she was done she said it was well worth it. She thought the quality was excellent. The girls play with it every day. The size it just right for them.

Absolutely adorable!
I bought the pastel version of this kitchen (item 53167) and it's absolutely adorable. My DD is 3 and this is pretty perfect for her right now. I can see it lasting maybe another couple of years or so. It doesn't come with a refrigerator, microwave or much storage that many kitchens have these days, but it's so cute that I don't care :). My daughter loves it and has been playing with it constantly. It took my Dh close to 2 hours to put together but he said it was easy. A couple of screws broke off in the plastic oven handle so we had to order another one of those, but other than that everything was packaged wonderfully and there wasn't any damage. We bought it for ninety-five dollars shipped, so the price was also right!

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
My 8 year old daughter is crazy about Polly Pockets. When the Courtyard and Mall shops went on sale I jumped on the purchase. Thanks goodness it was on sale because if I had purchased this at full price I would have returned it. When the box arrived in the mail I thought that they must have shipped the wrong toy or only a part of it because the box was so small. How could six shops and the Courtyard fit in this tiny box? I unpacked the box and got my answer. The shops are very small and flimsy and the courtyard is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. There are hundreds of tiny pieces that we just ended up throwing away. The mall will not stay together so you can't move it. The best part of this toy is that it came with 6 dolls.

Looks better in pictures
Once opened, the backdrop for each individual shop is a bare plastic wall. There are no stickers to place in each shop. The pictured item looked colorful and fun, but the picture was displaying the Polly items included and odd cardboard cutouts of cell phones, purses, etc. I am not sure what my kid is supposed to do with tiny cardboard pieces. They just get vacuumed up when they fall on the floor because they are so tiny they blend into the carpet! I would have preferred stickers to place on the wall and forget the tiny cardboard pieces.

The stack-able stores do not stay together well. They tip easily and then come apart from each other.

The high price of this toy is not worth it. The Polly resort is a much better value.

Fun BUT too many pieces
My five your old and her friends can play all day with this mall. The bad part is there are so many little pieces. I find them all over. The mall stores are very small and it is hard to actually have the dolls go in them. If the stores were bigger I would recommend to a friend, but not worth the money.

Get ready to lose some pieces.
I purchase this item for my two little girls because they are big Polly Pocket fans. The set up is pretty nice and they do like it. The one real problem I have with this set is that there are almost too many pieces to fit in the very tiny stores. Be prepared to lose a lot of the little shoes and accessories. I think it would have been a better idea to make the stores in the mall bigger and just include less of them. The stores are so small it is hard to really do anything with it. The lighting system is cute and worked fine. I would most likely not recommend this to anyone but the biggest Polly Pocket fans.

Not as nice as I thought
My daughter wanted this for Christmas. First of all, this comes in "new" packaging, so its just in plastic bags, not in the regular packaging like you'd find in the store. 2nd the stores don't have enough room for all of the things and they don't stand up so that she can use them (she's 7 and can easily make things stand on their own). In my opinion, she likes the cruise ship MUCH better.

Made of MDF - NOT WOOD - BUYER BEWARE
We bought this item per the information on Amazon - that it is made of solid wood. We have been using it for a while and it still has a smell to it, especially when the doors are left open. I called Melissa and Doug today and was told that it is MDF, not solid wood, hence the smell (I'm very sensitive to MDF/Particle Board). Amazon WILL NOT stand by it's information and help me since it's past the return policy. It really stinks that a company as big as Amazon will not stand by the information it provides on it's products... who knows what you're really getting, especially when it's painted over and not apparent to the naked eye!

Great Product for the Price!
I bought this kitchen for my girls for Christmas, age 1 and 4 years. It was intended more for the four year old because she loves to cook and has most of the Melissa and Doug food sets already (which she loves!) but I was suprised at how much my one year old loved it also. We have had it for four months and am pleased at how it has been able to hold up against my daughters, and 3 year old nephew, opening and slamming the doors.
I read a lot of reviews about how difficult it is to put together, but if you know anything about following directions and using a screw driver it really isn't that bad. It took my husband about 2 hours total and there was no yelling involved :)

I was a little disappointed when we realized the kit was missing a piece, since we had counted all of the pieces when it first arrived. But upon further glance we had an extra of one we didn't need and were missing another. A little panic set in since Christmas was in four days. We called the Melissa and Doug company first thing Monday morning and the new piece arrived Wednesday with no arguing or hassel. Just in time to be ready for Christmas morning. It was a bummer that all the pieces were not in the kit, but the customer service was EXCELLENT and things worked out great. It is impossible to expect that there will be no mistakes in life, but it is how people fix those situations that really makes a difference!!

I have been very happy with the MANY Melissa and Doug products that my girls own and the kitchen is proving to be no different! They love it and it will most likely be an item that we keep around for the grandkids too!!

Great Product, but NOT solid wood as stated
I purchased this kitchen from a local toy store for my daughter's second birthday. She absolutely LOVES it! The design and bold colors make it attractive. The refrigerator and oven are deep enough to put plenty of accessories in, unlike some other toy kitchens I looked at. I love the safety features--rounded corners and plastic door latches that keep the refrigerator and oven doors from closing tightly and pinching little fingers. I have no complaints about this kitchen, but I would like to point out that the product description on amazon says that it is solid wood and "doesn't include a single piece of press board" but this is not true. The one I purchased was from a display in a toy store, therefore already assembled. When I got home I noticed a small hole in the top of it that apparently happened in the store. When looking in the hole, you can tell that it IS made of press board, but very thick and heavy-weight, so still very sturdy and durable.

Absolutely PERFECT!!
This kitchen is so WONDERFUL! We bought it as a Christmas present for our 1 1/2 and 3 year old. They LOVE it. In addition to their enthusiasm for it, we love it too! It is SO WELL MADE! The assembly was so easy, with EVERY part labeled and instructions that a child could follow, we had it all together in an hour and a half with no stress AT ALL!!! All the parts are made from solid wood, not particle board and the attention to detail with the design is impressive. The knobs of the stove even tilt up slightly like on a real stove. There are so many cute details. It was worth every single penny!!! It has provided hours and hours of fun for my kids :-)

So far so good...
There are a lot of positive reviews for this kitchen, but the negative ones worried me. So far we are happy with it. Set-up took 2 hours, but my husband is very good at those kind of things. There was one hole that was misaligned, but my husband said the set was so solid it wouldn't matter. He loved their system of color coding - it made set-up easier.
I love the kitchen, it's very cute, and the rounded edges were a big sell for me. My daughter has only had it 3 days, so I can't speak about durability yet.
My only beef was actually with Amazon itself (and I have been a loyal customer since the beginning). The price of this kitchen went up and down from day to day, sometimes as much as fifty dollars. We still got a good price because of the free shipping, but I felt like I was gambling because at any moment the price could go up or down.

Enjoyable Product
We bought this kitchen for our 3 year old son. They have one at his day care and all the children play with it - girls AND boys. He's thrilled to "cook like Daddy". It has kept him occupied quite nicely and has been lots of fun.

So great I bought a second one for my granddaughter's house
So easy to put together. My two year old grand daughter plays for hours on end. So much so that she misses her kitchen when she goes home so I bought her another one for her house. It is so like a real one that she is learning how to cook for real!

The kids loved it!
Bought this as a Christmas gift for my godchildren (ages 2 and 5). Liked and used by both, although, the 2-year old girl hardly lets her brother near it! Super fast delivery -- even at Christmas time!

Don't Expect Customer Service from Little Tikes
After much research, I decided on this particular kitchen as a Christmas present for our toddler. I chose it because although it was rather expensive, it had the most features and seemed to have the most flexibility and potential to remain interesting for many years to come.

Unfortunately, after only three months, she accidentally spilled some juice onto the stovetop portion and shorted out the sound board. After writing to Little Tikes about the issue and asking for a replacement stove top/sound board, I was given a "too bad, so sad" response from their customer "service". This basically renders a 0+ toy useless after only a few months! Of course the basic construction is still there, but now it is just like any other kitchen that cost half as much.

Little Tikes should know that their target customer is a person who is inquisitive and has a tendency for mishaps. Not having replacement parts for big ticket toys is simply inexcusable, and their lack of responsiveness makes it even worse. Electronic components should be well sealed and placed in areas that have little chance for being subject to accidents.

More bells and whistles don't necessarily make a toy more fun, but not having them on a toy that is supposed to definitely diminishes the value of the toy to both the child and the parent. From now on, I will include the availability of replacement parts in my research for any big ticket toy items. It's really too bad that Little Tikes is so unresponsive to the needs of their customers, so chances are that future big ticket toys will be purchased from other manufacturers.

Kids love this kitchen
The kitchen takes a while to put together, but seems to be a very sturdy product. My kids love it and are able to use their imaginations while "cooking." This kitchen is also great for storage of all of the toy food and pots and pans.

Fun maybe, but not for her...
This is an excellent product, but not every girl will like to pretend play with a kitchen. My daughter has had it since the Christmas after she turned two and rarely plays with it. She will be 4 in a few months. This Spring, we moved the kitchen out to the garage, because we sometimes have playdates outside with other kids. Well, the other kids like it alright. Since they play, she plays, too. The hit is the Melissa and Doug cutting food box, not really the kitchen for any of them. Also, they like to pretend to drink the drinks and use the plates, which also are more of a hit than the kitchen itself. Plan Toys Food and Beverage Set is very good for its wooden condiments and drink bottles. (There is one boy who likes to make sandwiches and bake in the oven.) Overall, her Schylling tea set is her favorite toy, followed closely by Dora's House. Regardless, it is an excellent product - well designed, very pretty, and I believe it was easy to put together.

Daughter Loves this
It took a while to put together, you need to be organized. I had a small part that was damaged and a chip on one of the doors. I contact the company and they sent me the two replacements immediately and for free. My daughter is thrilled with this kitchen, her friends like playing with it and my wife is happy with it. Wife picked this out after shopping around, decent quality and looks nice. This was a very Good purchase.

heavy, sturdy, fun fun fun!!!
santa brought this to my two children (ages 1 and 2-1/2) this past christmas and it is still one of the most played with toys in the house. we have it stocked with lots of wooden toys and metal pots and pans and a tea set - and EVERY DAY it gets emptied. they love it. even at their young age, they already pretend to cook and tell me the oven is hot (not to touch it) and wash dishes. they are adorable playing with it.

i'm glad i picked this kitchen, amazon had the best price around too. we got it in the mail in about 3 days and there wasn't a scratch or dent on it. great packing and shipping - all around impressed with that experience. we used the free super saver shipping as it was offered at the time of our purchase.

Fairly easy to assemble, parts are color coded so fairly easy to match connectors to correct pieces for assembly.
Product is sturdy, appears as though it will stand up to kid abuse... slamming doors etc.

Wonderful Kitchen- pain to assemble
My daughter LOVES this kitchen- though be warned it is not easy to assemble. There are a ton of parts! It took us a good hour to assemble it- it would have been nice to have had an electric drill on hand. The tiny screws were killer. Besides the assembly we have no complaints. Our daughter loves it.

Great Choice
I was very pleased with this product after reading all the reviews. We had a problem with two of the boards due to the holes being drilled to big and the screw would not go in properly. We called the company and they replaced them. They were at my house within three days of calling. After talking to the company I really felt that is a great company that stands behind their product. I also really like the fact that the kitchen is seperate and can be placed into different positions in a room.

Great Play Kitchen
We gave this to our 1.5 yr old daughter for Christmas. She loves it and still plays with it everyday 6 months later. We got her some pots and pans and she cooks all kinds of foods for us. She "washes" her hands and her dishes in the sink. It is really cute and compares to the Pottery Barn kitchen for much less. I only gave it 3 stars for durability because I have had to replace a few parts. KidKraft stands behind their products though and sends out free replacement parts very quickly. I've had to replace the front door to the stove and the sink but received the parts quickly and it was very easy to fix it.
Building it initially took about an hour and was not hard. The instructions were easy to follow.
I would definitely recommend this product and would purchase from the company again.

In love
I purchased the pink retro kitchen after shopping around for about six months. It was so easy to assemble I put it together with my 8 year old son. After a hour and fifteen minutes we had the whole thing together and the kitchen was up and running. Allison (fourteen months) loves it!!! Aiden has also been seen in the kitchen cooking cookies with Allison.

Great dollhouse
We bought this and it came within a few days. It's HUGE! OK people, it's not made out of steel, it won't last forever and if you have rough kids...then you should only get them big plastic outside toys. This is for girls who like to play with dolls.
My 6 yr old LOVES it! It was a bit of a pain to put together but we figured it out and got it up.
Compared to what Mattel charges for their pink plastic horrors, this is well worth the money.
It fits standard barbie dolls and if taken care of, it will last for years.
My daughter is thrilled with it and so are we.

Great item, reasonable price
I bought this for my 8 year old daughter's birthday. It is so much nicer than the plastic ones you see. The furniture is very sturdy. The house is as tall as my daughter! I was very impressed with the quality. It did take a few hours to put together, but it's a toy she will use for years.

A Beauty!
This doll house was assembled by my hubby for our 4yr. old daughter's Birthday. I can't say how hard it was to assemble since he did it when we were out so she wouldn't see it. I can say that when we unvailed it at her Birthday party everyone, even the adults, loved it and some parents even wanted to get one for their girls :)

Gorgeous dollhouse
My 6 year old child absolutley loves this dollhouse.

It did however take about 4-5 hours to put it together because we reinforced each piece w/ wood glue. While parts of the frame are made of wood, the majority of it is card board so we're not sure if it will stand the test of time and how much of a beating it can take for younger children.

Other than the materials of the structure, the product is absolutely gorgeous and the the pieces i.e. bed, tables, and etc appear to be extremely durable. Large sized barbies can also be used to play w/ the doll house, and the pieces will fit the barbies as well.

Once built, it's not a toy that can be easily moved, so you might as well anchor it to a wall so that a child won't accidentally pull it over themselves. It's also pretty large and wide so make sure that there is room to place the doll house.

Awesome dolhouse
We purchased this dollhouse for our 4 year old granddaughter and she loves it. Before the furniture was in place, she moved her dolls into the house.
The assembly was a breeze, directions were easy to follow. The sturdy construction of this dollhouse will insure our granddaughter and her friends will enjoy playing house for many years.
