The box is way cooler than the toy itself.
I'm not sure why there are so many positive reviews of this toy, but I guess that other kids play differently with it. It is one of those toys that looks really cool to adults and the kids are excited about, but never actually gets used much. My kids wanted to take it outside and actually use it to dig in the dirt. And it doesn't do that very well. Mostly because in order to use it, you have to move it, and even my 6 year old can't pedal it over the grass or sand. The wheels only work on a hard surface, so they only time they were really able to use it is in the driveway to move some snow. I should also mention that 2 kids can't use it at once (like the real thing, you can't be on either end at the same time). Otherwise, this is an ENORMOUS toy and you have to have a place for it, which is difficult. No way is it a sandbox toy, as it doesn't even work in our 8 foot sandbox. It is my advice that for the same amount of money, you buy several construction vehicles from Little Tikes or Bruder that actually work in a sandbox or dirt and that kids can actually manipulate.

They just don't make 'em like they used to...
I'm shocked that most of the reviews for this product were so positive. The reviews are what convinced me to purchase it for my son's 4th birthday in the first place. Needless to say, he was thrilled, but within 10 minutes (yes, I said 10), the steering went out! He wasn't playing rough with it at all. He was simply driving it down a gradual hill toward the sandbox when something in the steering slipped out of place. My husband had to use a shim to get the parts to stay put so that the steering wouldn't malfunction again. I am returning this product immediately and replacing it with a digger that's made mostly of steel... NOT PLASTIC like this one. I'm amazed that it's lasted for other reviewers, but for 0, I expected a much more durable toy for my little boy and his friends to play with. I'm going with the peace of mind and longevity that metal toys have to offer. It's too bad, really, because the combo front-end/back-hoe loader was like getting two toys for the price of one. However, I choose quality over quantity.

learn german!
Product is great. right size for ages listed. strong, quality manufacturing for kids toy and wheels have added treads in middle for pedaling traction. Only downside was all the instructions were in German!! Fortunately, lots of pictures were included but this made assembly time longer!

cat front loader
It takes a good 4 hours to put together, no joke! There are so many pieces. Give yourself time and get help to put it together. Ours came damaged, what a disappointment, we had to give it to our son broken, amazon replaced it and said return the unused parts, what a project that was! It took forever on the phone with people from india who you can't understand!

Birthday Present for 3 year old
We bought this for our 3 year old Grandson. He loves it. My husband put it together and he loves putting things together and is really good at it. He had to admit, it wasn't hard, but took time. IF you have never put anything together have someone else do it. Well worth the price. After buying items before that we knew would last one day. This looks like it will last for sometime. My Grandson would not get off of it the first day. lol. He had a smile on his face all day. adjustable seat is also nice. Everything was in the package. YOU DO NEED TO READ the directions, as my husband took one thing a part and had to redo due to him only looking at pictures. lol. Would buy again.

For my 8 year old
I broght this for my 8 yearold and she loves it . It goes fast enough for her and I sssembled it myself everthing works fine. the kids in the neighborhood got one I got tired of her looking sad face.when she came home from school and seen her scooter all put toghether it was worth the money.

POOR VALUE
We purchased this item for my daughter's 9th birthday. She was beyong thrilled with it and rode it everyday for about two weeks. Then the throttle started sticking and would go full speed on its own. When she would engage the brake to stop, it would cut the power off to the motor and would not go afterwards. Called razor and made a warranty claim but they will only replace the parts that they assume are causing the problem and not replace the scooter although it is only a month old. They do not stand behind their product even though it is under the limited manufacturers 90 day warranty. We still have not received the replacement parts and it has been about 1 1/2 weeks since I spoke with them. So my daughter is stuck with a birthday gift that she can not do anything with until the replacement parts make it to us. I would definetly not recommend this product or any other razor product for that matter.

Battery is terrible!!!!!!!!
I bought this and thought maybe the other reviews were not applicable to my situation becuase I do not live in a hilly area, etc. but I was wrong and now I am stuck with this scooter which has a very poor battery which does not work well on even a level area. Do not buy this thing spend the extra 0 and get something that really works well.

What a piece of %@#$...
I ordered this with no expectations and even then I was disappointed.

The first E300S arrived damaged. The steering column was bent and the wheel couldn't turn.

The second E300S arrived and it would only go about 200 feet and the circuit breaker would trip shutting it down. You would have to wait a minute or so, push the circuit breaker in and go another 200 feet, and on and on.

Razor had me make adjustments myself where I had to invest 40 bucks in a wrench set. These adjustments didn't work so Razor said I had to replace the reset switch. It took a week for them to send me the reset button but then they didn't include instructions. I ended up having to disassemble the entire piece of junk and replace the reeset button and it still doesn't work.

Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT use Razor E products.

Giddyup N' Go Pony
The pony is a great toy for little ones. It's a little on the heavy side, but my little girl loves it. It's plush and soft enough for them to have a great time, even with all the metal. Great Product.

does not go very well
It looks cool but it needs a lot of space to move. It does not go backwards. It is heavy so if it gets stuck you need to lift the whole thing up. It is an interesting idea that needs to be refined.

Giddyup N' Go Pony - great product!
The order arrived immediately - even before an email was sent saying it was being shipped! The product didn't take much to put together - the directions were easy to follow and it was clearly labeled. The pony is safe and sturdy and my child loves it. It is great for developing motor skills and keeping little ones active inside during the long winter. It really is just an all around cool toy.

Fun and Excercise all in one
We bought this for my 3yr old son for Christmas this year. An while i can understand other parents concerns about safety. We are now into the New Year and have had no issues in that regard to date. And the novelty is yet to wear off, the body of the horse feels really nice, though the hair and reigns leave something to be desired. Because of the design of the horse, he gets a work out everytime he rides it without even realizing!

And while this can easily be used indoors, if it's in a very small space you will have lots of getting up to turn it around over and over, that is the only negative thing i can say about it.

I think it was an excellent buy! he gets up every morning still wanting to go to it and every afternoon as he gets home! I have no problem recommending this toy to anyone thinking of buying it.

My grandkids love it!
The horse arrived promptly and safely. It is very easy to assemble and extremely life like. When you press each ear the sounds are great and make our twin-2 year olds laugh. They learned quickly how to make the horse move. It's a great toy!

Lots of fun
I have a 7 year old that I got the blue one for, an 8 year old that I got the red one for and a 10 year old that I got the yellow one for. They all love them. They don't destroy your yard and they stay charged for a long time. The red one and the yellow one are about the same size so if you are having trouble deciding which one to get I would go with the yellow one. It goes a little bit faster but my eight year old has no problems riding it. Seem to be well built. I figured it was a nice stepping stone to the real thing! My kids have to wear pants and helmets when riding.

Well worth the price and sized for younger than 16
We received the Razor MX650 in excellent condition in 2 days from ordering using the Amazon Prime 2 day shipping trial. The carton was double boxed so the contents could not be determined from the plain brown box eterior (great for birthday present deliveries that have to arrive when the kids are home from school!) The motorcycle was easy to assemble though it did require 2 people to attach the front wheel (one to balance the bike- the other to feed the bolt through the wheel). The bike is a great step up in power from the Razor MX350 that we already own and is perfectly suited in terms of speed and power (it is quick even with a 190 lb rider) to go along with the 110 cc ATV that we have for driving on our land. The bikes' seat is on the short side (for the recommended 16 year old) but is perfect for my 9 and 11 year old sons. My wife (5'4") and 14 year old son (5'9") also are accomodated nicely. All of the kids have been riding gas/electric bikes for several years and the speed is easily handled with a little riding experience. Overall an outstanding buy and I would not shy away from recommending this bike for younger riders as long as they are properly instructed and supervised until they learn the proper caution.

Two months later, still VERY pleased.
Came quickly as Amazon orders always do. Packaging was perfect, no evidence of drops or crushing. Assembly was fairly easy, instructions were clear, took me about 20 minutes. The hardest part was lifting the box off the bike. Tires were pre-inflated. No tube or flat problems like I heard about in other versions of this bike. As a matter of fact, my son's mother purchased an MX350 for our 8 year's birthday at her home, and she had to drive an hour to get the tire fixed to save the day. After charging our MX650 for 18 hours, I took it for a ride around the neighborhood to make sure everything was working properly. I weigh about 175 and was surprised how peppy this thing is. My son has been riding this pretty regularly at our home for clips of 30-40 minutes, and I have only charged it 5 times since December. The battery has only so many charging cycles, so I'll let it get low before recharging it. He must have gotten 90 minutes out of the last charge. Highly recommend this bike. I felt an 8 year old didn't need the speed and danger of a real gas dirtbike. This thing has been fast and fun enough to keep his ADHD attention.

illegal
Do not buy this! I am 14 years old and I saved my money for 3 months to buy this. I finnaly ordered it and was extremely excited! I assembled it, charged it, and the next day, I rode in my neighborhood. A cop drove buy and got out of the car and told me that it was illegal to ride those. It got impounded and I had to pay a 0 plus 0 dollars to get it back. Now, I have spent a grand total of 0 and I have a useless dirtbike in my garage. Dont buy!!!! There Illegal in almost every state!!!

Neat Electric Bike
We bought this bike for our 9 year old daughter. It was easy to assemble but did have a bent rear caliper bolt that was damaged in shipping. The charge last much longer than I thought it would. It is much faster than I thought it would be. I would suggest a motorcycle style helmet for any rider because of the speed. We are happy with our puchase and would purchase another Razor product.

EXCELLENT VALUE and FUN!
We have owned the Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket Electric Motocross Bike since February, 2010. It is used EVERY single day by my 55lb 11 year old. He loves it. The kids in the neighborhood love it. We have not had a problem with the battery life at all, but my son takes really good care of it and followed the directions exactly. Also, I might add, this is NOT difficult to assemble at all. The majority of it is assembled already. My 11 year old assembled it by himself!!! All we had to do was come in when he was done and tighten up the bolts. The one thing that I love about this "dirt bike" is that it is so quiet. Even though he is riding on an acre of property, we don't annoy the neighbors when he gets near their homes. It doesn't eat up the grass either!!
This is definitly a great product!

Power Wheel Fun
Our two year old loves this. He jumped right in and away he went. Does a great job driving it and even on the high speed. We had a smaller Power Wheel that went a lot slower, so he learned to drive it first. Our only problem is that the traction on the back wheels is very poor.

Great purchase
Bought this for my son for his 3rd birthday. I drove it into my backyard to surprise him and his response was I WANT TO DRIVE IT! It took him a while to get used to using the pedal as he had been driving in one of the toddler ones that you push a button on the wheel. But he loves his Jeep! It goes really well on grass but has some trouble going up hill and goes way too fast downhill. He has a lot of space to drive though as a lot of our yard is flat. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and my son has a blast zooming all over in his "new car." I would recommend this to people with large driveways or flat lawns. I would also recommend the high speed lockout for the first few drives until they get used to the pedal and wheel!!

Best toy possible for 3 year old boy!
My 3 year old son immediatley fell in love, kissing the box when it arrived. After fairily easy assembly he jumped right in and made it home. It took a couple days for him to feel comfortable accelarating but now he is a pro ... driving all over the cul de sac, showing off for the neighbors. It has 2 speeds 1.5 and 4 mph - rememmber to keep it at the lower speed for younger kids, so they feel more in control.

My neighbors have this toy and my grandchildren played with it all the time. I got them their own for a birthday gift and they were so excited to get to take it home. They play with it for hours. It is so durable. They feel like they are big kids when they ride it!

More Ups than downs on this roller coaster!
I purchased this roller coaster for my 20 month old daughter after she played on one at her friends house a few months back. She loves it!!! Besides it's intended use, my daughter just rides the car around the house, gives her toys a ride on it, rolls things up & down the track & scoots down the track on her backside. It is versitile. My soon to be born child will also be able to get years of enjoyment out of it too.
Ok, as with any toy or activity for younger children, adult supervision is requested. It is possible to tip over in the car or crash into something. My daughter is quite the daredevil & will go down backwards. She pushes the car back up the track herself & climbs on, sometimes avoiding the 2 steps to mount the car. Overall a great investment!!

Really great toy if you have the room
My son has a lot of energy to burn, and we live in an apartment with no yard, so on days when we can't get out to the park, this toy has been great. I love the sturdiness of it. I could store this after my son outgrows it and it would keep until his kids want to ride it. Or, I really think because it holds up so well, I could resell it for almost what I actually paid for it ( shipped). It has 3 big parts that make up the slide that fit easily into each other. The purple stairs on either side slide under the green top part, and then you have the car. That's it. We have a long living room, so we just set it up in the kitchen and let him slide across the room. We put a couple rugs underneath to not disturb the neighbors. It's great. We've had it for 7 months now and when it's set up, he'll still hop on it 5 times throughout the day...more if we give him a push from behind (because then he goes faster). He also uses it to slide his cars and other toys down. Good investment!

Love it.
My daughter is 2yrs. 3 mo. and she is very easily bored with toys. I have spent thousands of dollars on toys and they just sit there! This thing is awesome. I can set it up outside, or we currently have it in the basement. She LOVES it. Best money I have spent so far. Wish they had this when I was a kid! :)

It's ok...
I got this toy for my son last year (he likes to ride on things) and since we've had it, we've only used it as a ride on toy. The games/dvd and the connector is probably a little too much for him. He doesn't have the attention span to play the games. When he sees the receiver/connection device, he wants to yank it and pull it out.

As a ride on toy, I love it! He's grown to love it. At first he would sit on it and bounce, get bored after a couple of minutes. Now, he's 20 months, he LOVES to sit, bounce and spin. The little noises the toy makes (galloping sound), makes him giggle. It is VERY sturdy. Putting the thing together was a bit cumbersome and we had to use a rubber mallet to get that last piece in. (The base comes in separate pie pieces that you have to connect together and fit into the slots). Then there are metal prong/legs that slide into the green base to hold the horse in place. It's definitely sturdy. I don't worry about my son tipping backwards (or forwards) in this. He does have short legs and he's able to bounce and climb on and off - so that's a plus for smaller babies.

Why the 3 stars? I think it's pricey for what we use it for. I've played the games with the toy, but either our receiver isn't working or the toy isn't working, because I find it to be slow/buggy response. It's cute but not essential in my kiddo's toy must have.

Parent's opinion
Save a few bucks and get the one that doesn't hook up to the tv. We got him this one and grandma got him the zebra. He likes the zebra better and it doesn't hook up to the TV. The TV hook up features are laim and he doesn't really get them, just likes to jump and have fun. Zebra has more things to play with on the actual toy.

Eh...it's okay. DVD Graphics are pretty awful..
My son rec'vd this for Christmas when he was 18mo old. Thought it would be perfect for him. He enjoys the occasional jump on the pony but really doesn't care for the game portion of it. I think we would have been better off just getting the zebra that is only for jumping...or just a good ol fashioned trampoline. With the graphics on the tv, they are extremely pixelated and silly looking. I have to unplug all kinds of stuff to get it to work right on my TV (could just be my system!) and it's just not worth the hassle for him to be bored 5min later.

Bounce and spin pony
Didn't take long for my 1 yr old to figure it out. Only real complaint is that it squeaks when he jumps up and down on it. Can't quite figure out how to lube it or something. Baby LOVES it though. Plays on it everyday, not so much the plug and play part. I love that it has a setting to just make sounds while he's jumping. Doesn't have to be plugged into the TV for him to enjoy it.

Good toy
My 22 month old son got this for xmas when he was 20 months old. It took a while for him to catch on that he made it move when he bounced. It holds his attention for a little while, but not for terribly long; he seems more into trying to play with the base remote that connects to the TV. However, my son doesn't really stick with anything for long- he's always on the go.
The tv graphics are cute, and educational. However, I cannot for the life of me figure out why they put buttons on the pony's handle bars that switch the game being played. He found those buttons quickly, and now never actually finishes a game, but scrolls through them, so I'm not sure what the games are actually teaching him. In the alphabet section, he might make it to G before switching, and often never even starts a game. That might be a phase.
Over all, I gave it a 4 star, because it is nice and fun. It's not a must have, but he does like it. He likes to bounce on it without the TV being hooked up to it too.

Love Fire truck Hate Issues.
We purchased a Kid Trax Fire truck from Toys R Us in 2008. Our two children loved it and used it a lot that year. It was a pain but we loaded and unloaded to take it everywhere. We put it away for winter in our basement and pulled it out n 2009. It ran a little but kept dying fast. We latter found that the battery was not holding a charge for long, 10 to 15 min max., and then it would take 4-6 hours to charge it. We decided it was time to get a new battery. SO.... we went back to Toys R us to get one only to be told that do not carry that brand, and could not get us a battery. So with the invention of the Internet, we got on Kid Trax web site, which is a division of Dornal Industries, Which is owned by Pacific Cycle, but is made in China. (See where I'm going with this) after all was said we found we were able to order the battery from them on there web site. the cost was 80.00 and we added it to out on line cart. When we went to check out the total was almost 197.00 I thought I must have clicked too many, but that was not the case. Shipping was from China, and it was 117.00, and it would take 8-12 weeks to arrive. (Dam talk about a slow boat from china) I guess UPS dose not cover that part of china. We decided not to purchase it, and it Sat all summer of 2009 with out use. Late in 2009, I started reading web site reviews about problems with this Co, and there kid cars, and getting batteries. There is several out there on how to convert the battery over to a Power wheels battery, however this too could be costly, unless you find someone getting rid of an old 12 V vehicle that you can operate on and remove the Plug connection from. I personally would never purchase a Kid Trax, Dornal Industries, Pacific Cycle Child Vehicle again. POWER WHEELS is the way to go, they have service centers all over the US. (However none of which will sell me the part I need to convert my Kid Trax to there battery) On a better note I did find a company that will refurbish my existing battery for 44.00. They open up my sealed battery and remove the dead cells and replace them with new cells and then seal up the battery again. They are called battery Plus. Check them out at [...]

Supply and Demand Price Gouging
This firetruck was roughly 0 when it was carried in the toy stores a little more than a year ago and now Amazon rapes you for a sale price of 450+ because they are the only place you can get it from. This truck is no where close to being worth the inflated price (actually almost 0 higher than MSRP). The only reason I did purchase this truck was because I told my little boy that I would get him this truck when he got big enough to play on it; I was over the barrel on this purchase. When I got the truck I had to spend 6 hours fixing the forward/reverse control lever since it was sheared off at the base upon opening an undamaged box. When you are on the line at Christmas you will do whatever it takes to have a fully functioning firetruck Christmas morning and trying to get a new control from the mfg 2 days before christmas is not my idea of coming through on a promise. My son oblivious to the cost and repair that had to be done enjoyed this truck immensely and in reality that is all that matters. Would I have bought this truck if the promise did not exist? Probably... but that is only becuase I love to spoil my son and I have the money; for someone who doesn't this price is no better than the gas gouging that was going on from the oil companies... supply and demand. My rating is based off of my sons enjoyment and not my dis-satisfaction of the gouged price or broken part.

Can't find a battery?
I got this for my son 2 years ago. It was great to see the expression on his face and worth the $$$. But now the battery is dead and I can't find one. I called Kid Trax and they told me to google "12 volt battery" so I did, but I can't find one that has the same plug in device on the side. So basically I am left with a hunk of plastic in my garage that I can't sell, or give away, because the battery is next to impossible to find. There are definitely less expensive ways to see that smile on your kids face, we play lots of board games indoors and I shoot hoops with him in the yard. Definitely think twice before spending the money.

Hard to find replacement battery!
I would have rated this more stars if the replacement parts were easier to find. It's a cute little truck and my kids love it...but when I started trying to replace the battery after it died, I started finding all these reviews similar to my own about how the batteries wear out and can't be replaced. The battery is made by Safety First and is a 12 volt battery, which in itself isn't hard to find. But they have a proprietary plug on it so that you can't just get any generic 12 volt battery...you have to get that brand and its impossible to find...even if you go to the Safety First website you can't find it. If you are lucky enough to find one, they cost about plus shipping/tax.

I did have an excellent customer service experience at Battery Giant, however. I found a generic 12 volt battery and they asked me to send in my old Safety First battery and they retrofitted the plug for me onto the new battery from the old one so I could use it! For FREE! It was plus shipping and I had to pay a few bucks to ship the old battery back, but it saved me a lot of money on buying the Safety First brand and they shipped it back to me very quickly. [...]

I now check to see how easy the battery replacement is when I buy toys like this.

Don't waste your money!
We received this as a Christmas gift and it was great for the short time it actually worked. Like other reviewers, we had similar battery issues (not available at any retail stores, took months to recieve the replacement, battery very expensive, etc.), but also other mechanical problems. Suffice to say, my kids now enjoy just "pretending" the thing works and playing in the fire truck and on the fire truck, since the fire truck itself hasn't run for over a year. Defintely not worth the money.
