Not as "robotic" as you may think!
It's just a toy. Nothing that justifies the high price. It does not "interact". It is just a remote controlled figure toy. You push a button, it does something. Artificial Intelligent does not exist at all in this product.

Fun Toy
My son is 2 and we got it for him for christmas. definately his favorite toy right now. it's durable and has a ton of great features...except one thing...the wings don't come out. unless i am missing something (please correct me if i am wrong) but we have not figured out how they come out if they do. for the price and the robotic features of the toy, i would have thought they would have it do everything. only other complaint is the amount of batteries--14, yes 14 AAs to run this thing. you better get stocked:) but even so, my son loves it and that makes us happy!

to infinity..., and beyond!
This Buzz is absolutely awesome! I bought this for my 10 year old that's autistic and is obsessed with Toy Story. I admit in my haste Christmas morning I struggled to get him to work in play mode, as did a previous reviewer. I quickly discovered that, sure enough, I had neglected to supply all of the battery compartments. Once that was resolved Buzz truly came to life. My son spent the whole day learning to master this toy. We live on a super tight budget and a cool 0 on a toy is unheardof in this house. Still, I thought if it was what I hoped it would be for him, it'd be worth it. Well, Buzz turned out to be even better than I'd anticipated and Amazon even beat Sam's price on this guy for the holidays. Many thanks.

Best Toy Disney Has Ever Made. (Thinkway)
First, the review that said it only works in demo mode should note that there are 3 places to put batteries. If you do not put them all in, it will only work in demo mode.
Second, this is by far the most entertaining and fun toy I have purchased yet. (Note - I have bought hundreds of toys!) I got this for my kid originally. Yet, everyone one who stops by for a visit can't believe how great it is. The face molding is off the scale. Every inch of the body is packed with smooth moving servo motors. The movements and sounds are simply fantastic! This is clearly a home run for Disney!
The value of this Ultimate Buzz is 5 stars all the way(and beyond!) You will never find a toy of this quality for this amazing price.
This is the second major Robot that Thinkway has made. The first was Wall-e. They just keep getting better! We can't wait to see what Disney and Thinkway come out with next!

We love Buzz!
My son has been a huge Buzz Lightyear fan for a couple years now. Since my son just turned 8, he is about to outgrow him, but we decided to buy just one more Buzz for Christmas. Buzz has been worth every dime! He does take a lot of batteries... 3 in his back, 4 in each leg and 3 more in the remote. Yes, that is 14 batteries! But he thinks he's a real space ranger (until you tell him otherwise). He will give a high five, he walks forward and backward (which my kids call moonwalking). He has 4 play modes, voice command, program by puppeteering, remote control and direct button activation. Best of all, he has Tim Allens voice (unlike some of the recent Buzz Lightyears out there). It's only been 24 hours, so I can't speak for durability, but it's been played with nonstop since it's been opened. This was my son's favorite toy this Christmas.

Amazon.com Review:
One of the biggest Transformers toys ever made, the Constructicon Devastator brings the power of the Decepticons to your home. Having appeared in the summer blockbuster Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Devastator can disassemble into six, smaller, fully functional Transformer vehicles. With its motion-activated sounds and movie-accurate detail, this toy is a must-have for any Transformers collector, ages five years and older.

![]() At over a foot in height, Devastator is one of the largest Transformers toys ever made. View larger. |
Staying true to the movie, Devastator is massive, standing well over a foot in height and dwarfing most other Transformers toys. He is a solid, heavy, and well-built toy. Pulling a lever on his chest causes his mouth (called the Vortex Grinder) to light up with bright, neon-green LED lights. The lever also triggers battle sounds and quotes taken straight from the movie.
Devastator isn't the most flexible toy around. Because of his size, he can be a bit cumbersome to play with. However, his elbows and knees are articulated, which makes him easier to position and balance. He also has realistic details, which gives him value as a collector's replica.
Devastator consists of six smaller construction vehicles: the Constructicons. These detailed vehicles are painted in earthy colors suited for their rough construction jobs. Together, the Constructicons form a complete construction team. There is a bulldozer, a dump truck, an excavator, a scoop loader, a mixer and a crawler crane. They prove to be very maneuverable on a hard surface, able to make hairpin turns easily. However, it should be noted that, unlike their film counterparts, these vehicles do not transform into robots individually.
An Enjoyable, Challenging Assembly
Devastator might be one of the biggest transformers around, but it's also one of the most difficult to put together. Parents should be aware that the Devastator requires some degree of finesse to assemble -- and in some cases, strength. Some of the snapping parts are especially tricky to connect together, and prove difficult to pry apart. The toy is labeled as a Level 4 conversion, so younger children will have difficulty converting the toy by themselves. It took our tester (an experienced Transformer player) nearly 15 minutes to figure everything out. Still, putting the toy together should provide a constructive challenge for older kids.

Not Worth It
Got this toy for my kid, b/c he wanted it for xmas. This thing doesn't "do" anything except make noise non-stop. No way to switch it off. Also, cannot support itself standing up as a robot, so it has to lie on the floor. At this price I expected much much more. The individual vehicles do not transform into robots, but only limbs of the devestator. There are also some pieces that have to completely come off of the vehicles to transform them into limbs. Those peices are left off to the side when in robot mode. Doesn't that violate something about what a transformer is? Not a fan of this toy.

Transformer Devestator-- not all that devestating
I don't know what I expected, but what I got was a bit disappointing. The trucks that attach to the Devestator keep falling off. I would be more forgiving if each one transformed into a Deceptacon. For the price of this monstrosity I would hope my 4 year old son would play with it every day. Alas, it is now February and the Devestator has been placed on a shelf to collect dust. He'd much rather create soldiers and dinosaurs with his Kid K'nex. Lesson learned...

My son Loves this toy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I brought this for my son and he loves it. His eye lit up Xmas morning when he saw it. He plays with it like everyday.......

Good product
This toy was a gift for my 7 year old son. It's pretty impressive and seemingly well made. It really, REALLY needs an ON/OFF switch! The pieces are fairly easy for my son to transform himself, but he has a little difficulty snapping the limbs onto the body as it takes a bit of force.
Overall it's a good product.

Devastator!
I purchased this during a sale on Amazon.com. Thank goodness! Since it is 6 transformers combined into one, it is more expensive. It is definately the largest transformer my son has, and the heaviest. It does have some difficulty standing up, because its center of gravity is off. None the less, my son likes it very much, and if he's happy, I'm happy!

cool toy as toy robots go
This toy was a christmas gift for my 9 year old boy--his specific request. He was excited to get what he asked for, but hasn't really played with it much. It's cool as far as toy robots go, but how many times can you really watch the toy do the same thing.

Interaction Wall-E
I bought this for my son who is Autistic. He loves it especially when used in conjunction with Interative Eve, they communicate with each other. One of his favorite toys.

Sweet, kids will love it.
I bought Wall-e for my daughter for X-mas and she's playing together with her older brother with Wall-e and Eva. They just love pretending being like in the movie.

Fantastic pal for our interactive Eve!
We got Eve last Christmas for our daughter. It still is alive a year later so we decided to get this for our son. We took it out to play with it before wrapping to make sure it worked well and communicated with Eve. It is super cute and as expressive as Eve is. They do talk to each other with sayings from the movie; "Eeeeevahhhhh, Weaaalleeee" perfect!
The quality is just as good as Eve and I expect it to last a long time. I cant believe Eve still works over a year later. If Wall-E lasts as long it is one of the best we have ever purchased!
The tracks turn on the wheels and Wall-E is poseable. He is so much cheaper this year compared to last year. Very worth it in my opinion.
I will update this review after we play with it alot Christmas Day. For now I am very happy with this purchase and it completes the set.
Thank you for reading this little review, more to come!

Kids love it, but wheels came broken
My understanding is that the wheels are supposed to roll freely, but on the unit I received one of them is frozen solid. Maybe it was improperly glued. Nothing I can do will free it up. The arms can be pulled off, but then you can pop them right back on. The kids like it otherwise, although after ~10 minutes the sounds drive everyone a little crazy. Now where did I place my sledgehammer...
