Great toy
This was bought as a birthday gift for our 4-year-old grandson. We were amazed that it was such a high-quality toy. Grandson adores it and grandpa had fun with it too. It was expensive, but after seeing it and the good quality product it is, it was worth every penny. Plus, it was delivered 2 days after we ordered it.

This toy does not speak in Spanish.
This particular Buzz Lightyear does not have a dance mode or speak in Spanish. My son wanted the Spanish speaking one and some of the representations by the seller for this item are untrue.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
Okay, we saw this Buzz at Target and we just had to have it. In demo mode he appears to do everything. We bought him to save for Christmas 2010, thankfully we decided to test him based on the mixed reviews on Amazon to ensure that he worked correctly. Glad we did. In demo at the store I believe he dances his Spanish dance and I thought that he even spoke Spanish (I may be wrong on this one), anyway I really don't have anything positive to say about this toy so here is what I think.
1. Overpriced!
2. Wings don't pop out or light up (like in the lower priced model sold at the Disney Store See "Advanced Talking Buzz Lightyear Action Figure -- 12'' (Item # 200855P )" P.S. Beware there are like 50,000 (slight exaggeration) Different variations of the Buzz lightyear 12" figure out there that all do different things.
3. Will only "walk" on hard surface. And programming him requires a degree in rocket science (Pun intended).
4. Manual stinks
5. He seems too fragile to be a kid's toy.
6. Quality Control stinks (Heard a piece of plastic rattling around inside after removing him from the box.)
The one at the Disney store does it all. In fact here is a list of all the things that the 5 Buzz DOES NOT do that the Buzz DOES DO.
Dollar Buzz Functions:
* Press button for wing release (wow just like the movie!)
* Push button to retract helmet (wow just like the movie!)
* Wing tips, wing housing and wrist light up (wow just like the movie!)
* Fully articulated with lots of poseable joints ( 5 Buzz seem too fragile to pose)
* Press button on wings to activate Buzz's arm karate chop (wow just like the movie!)
* Actual movie size 12'' (wow just like the movie!)
* Requires 2 AA batteries, included (the plethora of batteries required to the 5 dollar Buzz are not included. (Wow just like the movie!)
I really hope this review helps at least one person avoid the disappointment that we felt when we bought this piece of junk. Save money and by the real Advanced Talking Buzz Light Year at Disney.

Awsom Buzz
Brought this toy for a friends child. We thought we should make sure it was working OK. It was such great fun & very impressive. The mouth moves when Buzz gives commands & it does everything that was stated. It is solid. You do have to read the instructions to be able to use it properly & not sure that an 8 year old would be able to do this, without a parents help. The instruction book is good & well set out & easy enough for an adult.Your child will love this.
Sadly we had to the give Buzz to our friends child but we may just buy ourselves one.

Ultimate buzz lightyear
Son really loves buzz, so we got him this for his birthday. You can't appreciate this toy without replacing all the batteries first, it has a lot of cool functions. At 4 years he is too young for this toy he loves to knock him over and hear buzz ask to be picked back up. That's how Buzz's left arm had fallen off, from a fall from about 2 feet,. Still unable to reconnect, but have not tried very hard to do so. Son still love it and thinks that with his arm off it is just like the first movie.

The ultimate Decepticon weapon has arrived on Earth, and nothing will ever be the same. Constructicon Devastator is the biggest robot, ever - towering above Autobots and Decepticons alike. As his Vortex Grinder snaps open and glows with power, all before him quake in fear, knowing the destruction is inevitable!
Amazon.com Review:
One of the biggest Transformers toys ever made, the Constructicon Devastator brings the power of the Decepticons to your home. Having appeared in the summer blockbuster Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Devastator can disassemble into six, smaller, fully functional Transformer vehicles. With its motion-activated sounds and movie-accurate detail, this toy is a must-have for any Transformers collector, ages five years and older.

![]() At over a foot in height, Devastator is one of the largest Transformers toys ever made. View larger. |
Staying true to the movie, Devastator is massive, standing well over a foot in height and dwarfing most other Transformers toys. He is a solid, heavy, and well-built toy. Pulling a lever on his chest causes his mouth (called the Vortex Grinder) to light up with bright, neon-green LED lights. The lever also triggers battle sounds and quotes taken straight from the movie.
Devastator isn't the most flexible toy around. Because of his size, he can be a bit cumbersome to play with. However, his elbows and knees are articulated, which makes him easier to position and balance. He also has realistic details, which gives him value as a collector's replica.
Devastator consists of six smaller construction vehicles: the Constructicons. These detailed vehicles are painted in earthy colors suited for their rough construction jobs. Together, the Constructicons form a complete construction team. There is a bulldozer, a dump truck, an excavator, a scoop loader, a mixer and a crawler crane. They prove to be very maneuverable on a hard surface, able to make hairpin turns easily. However, it should be noted that, unlike their film counterparts, these vehicles do not transform into robots individually.
An Enjoyable, Challenging Assembly
Devastator might be one of the biggest transformers around, but it's also one of the most difficult to put together. Parents should be aware that the Devastator requires some degree of finesse to assemble -- and in some cases, strength. Some of the snapping parts are especially tricky to connect together, and prove difficult to pry apart. The toy is labeled as a Level 4 conversion, so younger children will have difficulty converting the toy by themselves. It took our tester (an experienced Transformer player) nearly 15 minutes to figure everything out. Still, putting the toy together should provide a constructive challenge for older kids.

Pleasently surprised!
My son wanted this so badly for Christmas, but I felt it was way overpriced at approx 0. I decided to wait until the price came down, but it never did. I didn't find it on retail clearance shelves as I thought I would. So, I gave in and ordered it for him as a surprise. It cost me even more than the original price w shipping. He was so excited! I have been impressed by it's durability. He has transformed it many many times. The snap joints that join the various pieces are holding up well. One minor complaint would be the sensitivity of the motion sensor activated sound effects... If you're holding it, it's going to be barking at you. It's so annoying in the car that we stopped letting him bring it. On a long road trip we would just have to take the batteries out. Other than that, it's really cool!

transformer disaster
this item was difficult to put together.when you finally accomplish that task it does not stand up well. The plastic it's made from is brittle,so I worry my son will crack the pieces IF he attempts to put a piece back on.I would not recommend this item to anyone

Transformers Devastator Review: Its a cool toy
The Transformers Movie 2 Devastator toy is very cool, although expensive as well. He is very much like Devastator in the movie and my son really enjoys playing with him. The main drawback is that you cannot turn off the sound, and he will be activated by movement, so be careful where you put him or he may wake you or your child at night!

Not Worth It
Got this toy for my kid, b/c he wanted it for xmas. This thing doesn't "do" anything except make noise non-stop. No way to switch it off. Also, cannot support itself standing up as a robot, so it has to lie on the floor. At this price I expected much much more. The individual vehicles do not transform into robots, but only limbs of the devestator. There are also some pieces that have to completely come off of the vehicles to transform them into limbs. Those peices are left off to the side when in robot mode. Doesn't that violate something about what a transformer is? Not a fan of this toy.

Transformer Devestator-- not all that devestating
I don't know what I expected, but what I got was a bit disappointing. The trucks that attach to the Devestator keep falling off. I would be more forgiving if each one transformed into a Deceptacon. For the price of this monstrosity I would hope my 4 year old son would play with it every day. Alas, it is now February and the Devestator has been placed on a shelf to collect dust. He'd much rather create soldiers and dinosaurs with his Kid K'nex. Lesson learned...

Works best with Eva
My sons likes this toy, but it works best when you have the Eva toy to go with it. After about a year of playing the head broke on this and we were able to super glue it so that it still works. For a while now this has mostly sat on my sons books shelf. We are Wall-E fans which is why we ended up with both.

Prefer transformable
My 7 year old nephew received this as a birthday gift. The first thing he tried to do was get it to transform as it does in the movie which he had seen. Luckily he didn't break it. He definitely would have preferred the transforming wall-E, or the one that creates the playdough trash blocks. His aunt (me) didn't know the transforming wall-e existed, or I would have gotten that. Or the compactor one. It is still a nice toy, but he won't play with it as much as he would have the transforming one.

cool toy as toy robots go
This toy was a christmas gift for my 9 year old boy--his specific request. He was excited to get what he asked for, but hasn't really played with it much. It's cool as far as toy robots go, but how many times can you really watch the toy do the same thing.

Interaction Wall-E
I bought this for my son who is Autistic. He loves it especially when used in conjunction with Interative Eve, they communicate with each other. One of his favorite toys.

Sweet, kids will love it.
I bought Wall-e for my daughter for X-mas and she's playing together with her older brother with Wall-e and Eva. They just love pretending being like in the movie.
