Exactly what I expected/needed
This makes a great play or snack table, a durable wipeable surface with cup or art supply holders, nothing with lids to snap on little fingers, all big open cubbies. The only improvement that I'd suggest to the design is a slightly raised lip to go around the work surface, to catch spilled crayons or water from painting projects, are you listending Step2? :) Make sure you measure your area if it's not in an open playspace because it IS a large desk as the description of product will confirm.

Best Product
I shopped everywhere, Walmart, Toys R Us, Target etc....went to all the online sites. I always kept coming back to this one.
My kids got it for Christmas. The table is very sturdy. My 3 yr old climbs on it and stands on it sometimes. I thought it would rock back and forth, but it remained in place. She takes the stools and stands on them to climb and grab things from the kitchen counter. Again, VERY STURDY. The other day I needed to reach something, I saw it there and thought, OK, I'll get on top. I weigh 175 lbs. I stood on it, thinking it would collapse and I'd end up on the floor. To my surprise, IT HELD ME JUST FINE. I don't recommend it as a step stool, but this "one time" it did the job and it didn't land me on the floor.
My kids 6, 3 love to play, color, do playdoh, and just about everything on it. They used markers and colored the ENTIRE table, I thought GREAT, thats it, its ruined. I grabbed some cleaning spray, wet rag, and it came right off. Its wide enough for two kids to play and I love the sides, the hold so many things. There is sooo much room for so many things.

Excellent art and crafts table
This was a present for our 5 year old daughter who loves drawing, writing, and all things arts & crafts. There are so many places to store activity books and suppliesin the table, which helps keep down the clutter elsewhere and makes it easy for her to find everything she needs. It was relatively easy to put together, too, which we did on Christmas Eve so we were relieved it wasn't a big production. I would definitely recommend this table.

Durable, washable, good old-fashioned fun!
We viewed several different kinds of art desks for our daughter and settled on this one based on good reviews. It cleans up beautifully (a plus when your child doesn't paint on the paper very well yet), was simple to assemble, and looks/feels like it will last for years to come. Right now, we have it set up as a one-child desk, but when her younger sister gets older, we will move the island to the center so they can both use it, one seated on each side. The colors are pretty but not too garish, the cups are removable and washable, and best of all, there is a ton of storage space for all the random art stuff we have acquired over the years. I am really happy with this purchase, and I would recommend spending the 30 extra dollars to get this one above other, cheaper (and more cheaply made)desks.

Step2 Art Desk
We gave this to my children (ages 3 and 5) for Christmas. This is a great desk; my kids love it and use it every day. It is easy to clean and holds a ton of art supplies. My 5 year old even uses it as a homework desk. Its a great investment and very well made.
