Offering a stylish, old-fashioned design with authentic detailing, the InStep Pink Lady pedal car lets your child's imagination (and feet) run wild. Based on the design of the best-selling "Dip Side" pedal car from the 1950s, this InStep pedal car lives up to its name with a bright pink, lead-free paint job, and your child can customize its looks with the included decal sheet--including adding her name. The car, which fits a wide range of children, features a durable solid steel frame that holds up to use and abuse through the years, along with a functional steering wheel that's easy to steer. The rubber tires and chrome hub caps, meanwhile, not only feel smooth but offer a sleek, streamlined look. Some assembly required. Appropriate for children ages 3 and up.

Nostalgic and sturdy
Bought this for my granddaughters 4th birthday and she fell in love with it, although she can't quite get the pedaling down right yet -- "practice, practice, practice", I tell her, but patience isn't her best trait, so her older sister pushes her around in it. "Faster!, Faster!"
My son put this together so I can't say too much about the assembly. No cuss words. That's a good sign. Took him about an hour and he did refer to the instructions. A lot. That's a first. I'd guess if you are good with a screwdriver and wrench - and reading instructions - it should be fairly simple. It was packed well, with nothing missing. The decals need to be individually cut out, which was somewhat of a pain - it comes with two pages of letters, dice, checkered chevrons, records -- very 50's. Some are quite close together, so use your small scissors. The backing peels off - long fingernails help. Very cute once on.
This is a sturdy little toy, solid, heavy and very reminiscent of one I remember in MY grandma's house in the 50's. It is made of metal with hard rubber wheels. The pedaling mechanism is a bit difficult to work, but it adjusts fairly easily for height, and my granddaughter "really really" wanted a working horn. I taught her to yell "Beep-Beep - awww-OOOH-gah" and that works just as well.
This little car fits the four year old perfectly. Might be a bit small for a 6-7 year old, and too difficult to pedal for a child under 3. By the time the 4 year old outgrows it, her little sister will be big enough to use it -- and, unless she leaves it out in the rain or behind a car, it should still be working then.
So, if you want an old-fashioned, retro, self-propelled pink car for your little princess -- this is perfect. And -- it is an adorable accent piece, too!

Daughters Pink Car
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R5QC8707LUUW2 My daughter loves this car it is the right size for her.To others out there who might buy this.If your child is taller than 40" this car would be too small.Note,The Hello Kitty sticker does not come with it. Also shipping was pretty quick We live in So. CA and it came in just 2 days regular ground shipping.Ours was shipped out of AZ.

cute but not very functional
The Instep Pink Lady car is very cute, but hard to assemble and difficult for a child to pedal. Ours arrived with a bent back axle, but the Instep company FedEx(ed) us one overnight, only for it to be yellow rather than pink. The pink one will not arrive for a couple of months. Would not recommend this product.

Small Child's Gift
This was a good idea for my 3-1/2 yr. old granddaughter until my son and I tried to assemble it. I really don't know why it wasn't already assembled. The unit went together just fine until the drive wheel...the rear metal was bent in a fashion that created stress that caused the wheel lock nut to back off and we were afraid the wheel would come off....Finally my son was able to "bend" the metal into place that worked. The assembly instructions could be edited and made easier to follow. Other than running into walls it was a great ride!

Totally Worth Buying
We Bought this car for our grandaughter for christmas. Last night me and my husband put it together with ease. This car is well made and very sturdy. And the cutest thing. I can't wait to take pictures of our grandaughter in this car.
I looked at serveral different pedal car's online the rest of them were priced to high. And didn't look half as good as these car do. The only minor complaint I have
was the stickers are not pre-cut you will have to cut them yourself. Which was no real big problem. I had a blast decorating the car, you get a big sheet of stickers with poodles, music notes, dice, lettering, bowling balls.
This car was totally worth buying.
