beautiful but not great for stacking
i loved this toy when i first bought it--it's a nice big size (a lot of the wooden ones are too small), really pretty, and looks like it will be very educational. when my kid was younger he did like to play with the rings, though the holes are not big enough for him to put the rings on his arms, which he likes to do with the plastic kind. sadly, though, it is just not a very good stacking toy. i thought it would be great because the center rod is straight but color coded, which means that you can put the rings on in any order or you can put them on in the correct order either by teaching size or by teaching color. how cool! the only problem is that the center rod is cloth so it bends really easily, which makes it really hard to put the rings on. my kid is 14.5 months old now and he just gets so frustrated when he tries to play with this toy. it might be fine once he has better fine motor skills, but for now i think i will have to buy one of those plastic ones, which is annoying. the other problem with this toy is that the red ball does not stay on top very well. it's always falling off. too bad, it's a great idea, just wish the center rod was sturdier.

Great stacker!
I knew I wanted a ring stacker for my daughter, who was 4 months when I bought this. It's great because it's soft and I don't have to worry about her hurting herself-compared to the other plastic versions. I really like that it's completely machine washable, as most Melissa and Dough plush products are. The rating says for 9mo+ , but my daughter has been playing with this toy since she was 5 months and really likes taking all the rings off and chewing on them or just playing with them by shaking the ones that rattle. As she gets older, she will be able to get into the sorting and stacking part. A Definite Do!

Lots of fun
I bought this for my son when he was six months. He especially loves the orange ring since it makes crinkling sounds. Each one of the rings does something different- jingle bells, rattles, a squeaker, etc. He hasn't attempted to stack it yet, but he does love to carry the rings around with him and chew them.

We LOVE this stacker...
We bought this for our son to play with in his bed/play pen during his quiet time and he loves it. I love it because of it's size, much bigger than i was expecting. This is definetly something i would recommend or buy as a gift.

Best stacker I ever bought!!
This is the best baby stacker I bought. I wanted to buy a plush one since I saw huge ones in baby stores. Upon my search I came across this one. It was smaller then I was looking for but I love the Melissa and Doug company and it seemed cute.

This is perhaps one of the best toys I ever bought. Each "ring" is different.(sqeak, rattle, bell, paper sound). My daughter is 10 months and loves this. She even gets them in her mouth which kids at this age love. I though they would be to big but she shoves it right in. A+++
